This is highly individual! We take into account the nature of your condition, your age and health history, how long the symptoms have been present, and your overall state of health when determining your treatment plan.
While it's not possible to determine the exact number of treatments required to reach your goals, we can provide an informed estimate based on your individual needs and condition. For acute cases of mild to moderate issues, we expect to see quite a bit of progress within 6 treatments. For chronic issues and more severe problems, it would not be uncommon to need more support; closer to 15-20 treatments.
Additionally, we offer rehab exercises, diet + lifestyle advice, and herbal remedies + supplements to add to your treatments.
Patients who actively follow our treatment plans tend to get better faster, which is why we offer a multi-faceted approach. Consistency is key!
Your provider will discuss a personalized treatment plan with you during your first visit, tailored to your specific condition and wellness goals. In most cases, consistent care is key—patients often begin with two sessions per week, gradually transitioning to weekly visits as progress is made.
It's important to understand that both acupuncture and chiropractic care are cumulative; each session builds on the last. Long-lasting relief is rarely achieved in a single visit, and extended gaps between treatments may slow your progress or lead to setbacks. Staying on a regular schedule supports deeper healing and more sustainable results.
We hope you feel great! That's the goal. However, it's not uncommon to feel sore for 24 hours after chiropractic care or orthopedic acupuncture.
Patients often say that the post-treatment soreness is different from the pain they normally experience and they can tell something good is happening, kind of like getting sore after a hard workout at the gym. After that, patients tend to start feeling relief.
For non-orthopedic acupuncture treatments, you might feel relaxed, floaty and a little sleepy after your visit.
Make sure to stay hydrated, as we're making changes we want your tissues to be able to process everything and keep the blood flowing to heal any injuries.
Not usually. Acupuncture needles are extremely thin—much finer than those used for injections or blood draws—so most people are surprised by how little they feel. You may notice a brief sensation as the needle is inserted, especially in areas like the hands and feet, which have more nerve endings. These sensations are typically mild and are often a sign that the body is responding to treatment in a meaningful way.
Your acupuncturist’s priority is to ensure you feel safe, comfortable, and supported throughout your session. Please don’t hesitate to speak up if anything feels uncomfortable—we can always adjust. Occasionally, you may experience slight soreness or minor bruising at the needle site, but these effects are temporary and usually resolve quickly.
It’s completely normal to feel a bit nervous at first, especially if you’re new to acupuncture. Many patients feel the same way in the beginning—and continue returning because of the lasting relief and benefits they experience. Remember, acupuncture can be both gentle and highly effective.
Yes! Dr Rachel has a special pregnancy pillow designed for patients who need chiropractic care. She can help with the typical back and hip pain, that is so common in pregnancy, by using gentle adjustment and soft tissue work to balance out the pelvis and surrounding structures.
Molly loves supporting women through fertility and IVF treatments with acupuncture. Pregnant patients can get support using Chinese medicine for a multitude of discomforts; insomnia, pain, morning sickness, stress, headaches, and fatigue.
It's common for patients to get care through the first trimester for discomforts and then throughout pregnancy as needed. Many patients come back for labor prep in the 4-6 weeks before due date and a "labor induction" if needed. Molly also loves supporting patients with much-needed post-partum support with both acupuncture and herbs.
We offer care for teens and up. At this time, we do not treat pediatric patients, but we'd be happy to provide a referral for those who specialize in treating children 12 and under. Otherwise, all ages are welcome!

Yes! Motor Vehicle Accidents cause direct and acute trauma to the entire body that can become chronic without immediate care.

In Oregon, every auto insurance policy includes Personal Injury Protection (PIP). This coverage acts like a built-in health insurance plan tied to your vehicle. PIP pays for medical treatment caused by a collision—no matter who was at fault.
PIP also follows you personally. If you’re injured as a pedestrian or cyclist, your own auto insurance PIP will cover your treatment.
PIP pays up to two years of medical bills or $15,000 in treatment—whichever comes first—for each person involved in the crash.
